How To Easily Replace RV Awning Fabric with ShadePro

Watch me easily replace my RV awning fabric with a new ShadePro awning from Amazon. The installation was quick and easy, but make sure you have a helper. My original awning was a Carefree of Colorado, but the replacement was expensive and not available. I ordered my own replacement fabric and ran a new LED wire for the light bar.

  1. Is there a awning fabric company that fabric with the led light wire already installed?

  2. oh no, I followed the instructions in the video and I used an A and a V awning and balance slot.

The problem is I write pretty sloppy and my A and V simply look like

    AVWMWMWVA

  3. You said you were going to do it “by yourself”, and then you brought out an assistant. Strange.

  4. Make it easy on yourself and use a male and a female on each side then these no need to mark them and no chance of hooking them up backwards.

  5. Good video, makes it simple. Mine is 11 years old and more of it gone and peeled off than not, the motor works great but the LED’s are kaput, so I’m installing an LED with a dimmer. And one thing I’m doing with this next one is instantly reinforcing the ends which tear and shrink faster than the middle, that and spray it with UV protestant. When mine started falling apart on the ends I hemmed it with 4″ Gorilla tape 4 years ago and the tape is still there and strong while the fabric has completely disintegrated. I have to contend with a kitchen pop-out under the awning, a broken and bent channel to snake the cord through, and I’m not gonna have help where I’m at, so I’m going to have to construct contraptions to take the place of someone on the other end. I’ve pulled off some solo feats, but this one’s gonna be a doozy. Cradles and pulleys are gonna be needed to pull this off solo. So if you hear some yelling that’ll be me.
